v3.2.8: Custom roles and permissions

This release is headlined by custom roles, so you can define exactly what each person on your team can see and do. It also adds a bird's-eye view of your products and stronger protection for sensitive data.

New

  • Custom roles: Create your own roles and set each module to None, View or Edit. New roles start with no access, and permissions extend down to individual agent dashboard tabs and actions in the application view. Clone a role to make a variant, and deleting a role prompts you to reassign its holders. Roles sync between production and sandbox, and the platform prevents removing or downgrading your last administrator. See Roles and Permissions.
  • Product bird's-eye view: A single read-only page in Product Studio lays out a product's whole application flow: each step's decision logic and outcomes, form widgets, configured providers and emails. It flags likely problems, such as a step that leads nowhere or a provider missing required information, and you can compare your draft with any published version. See Product Studio.

Improved

  • Masked fields stay masked: Fields marked as masked in Product Studio are now masked on the application detail page. Revealing a value is a deliberate action, and the data isn't sent to the browser until someone asks for it.
  • Contract version history: When an application is sent back a step and a contract is regenerated, it's saved as a new version instead of replacing the old one. See Contracts and E-Signature.
  • Smoother rule building: In Rules Studio you can type an outcome directly into a node, and outcomes can be sorted by name. See Decision Trees.
  • Pricing engine naming: "Offer table" is now called "pricing engine" throughout the product. See Pricing Engines.
  • Other improvements: One-time passcode emails use a proper default template, the document upload size limit is higher, and Product Studio is faster.

Fixed

  • Resolved issues across contract generation, PDF contracts, e-signature previews and document replacement.
  • Resending a one-time passcode now works reliably.
  • Applications embedded on your site now work in Chrome's Incognito mode.
  • Dashboard filters reset properly when you switch between accounts.
